Smith signs for MK Dons
Alan Smith joining MK Dons on loan last season was somewhat of a surprise but signing permanently would have topped it, or would it?
Having enjoyed his loan spell at stadium:mk last season an arrival on a permanent basis wouldn't really be a surprise as he was a free agent having ended his contract with Newcastle.
The Citizen 'understood' that talks over this permanent move were taking place today, and indeed they have with the former England international actually signing a two-year contract!
Newcastle had offered him a coaching role but a desire to continue his playing career has seen him opt for MK.
