Robinson - We've got to move past the sendings off

For a third successive game MK Dons ended with only 10-men, this time in the midweek draw at Bournemouth.

Alan Smith followed Stephen Gleeson and Antony Kay in seeing red but Karl Robinson felt hard done by with the former England internationals sending off.

Like previous dismissals Robinson was aggrieved at Smith's red: 'People are obviously going to look at us having three red cards in three games. But Stephen Gleeson's red card wasn't, that one here wasn't either.

'At first I thought it was a sending off, but I've seen the replay and it wasn't. Smith's gone to ground, he missed the ball by centimetres, and there's no great malice in it.'

A tough season will be made tougher by dismissals so the MK Dons manager is looking to "move past" these sendings offs: 'But we've got to move past the sendings off and we've got to learn that it's going to be very difficult for us this season.'

With MK avoiding defeats, even winning, with 10-men with a full compliment of eleven you wonder what they could do!
