'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Robinson - It was comfortable

Blackburn were dumped out of the Capital One Cup by MK Dons on Tuesday night with Karl Robinson of the opinion that it was "never in doubt" really.

You wouldn't expect a league one club to be "comfortable" against a Championship side but that is what Robinson felt it was: 'It was comfortable, I'm very pleased because it was a very professional performance.

'We looked very accomplished and we move on from here with tremendous mental strength and belief in ourselves.

'The first five minutes they started OK but once our two midfield players got to grips with it we were the better side.'

A double from Luck Chadwick secured the win but the MK Dons boss is now looking for him to start scoring goals in other months apart from August: 'Luke Chadwick likes scoring goals in August but he needs to liven himself up in September, November and December as well.

'He was just very good, the fact that he was in the right place at the right time shows that he's a good footballer.

'We just now need to dust ourselves off and make sure that we're all getting ourselves fighting and fit for Carlisle on Saturday.'

MK Dons will know who their third round opponents are by close of play tonight.
