Robinson - I said sorry to Semie

Sometimes you have to do something to "spice things up" and Karl Robinson's lashing the ball at Jon Otsemobor is the moment that probably did this for MK Dons at the weekend.

Robinson didn't mean to kick the ball at the defender as hard as he did, and has apologised, but feels that moment made sure that MK Dons went on to secure the win, which they did 2-0 against Carlisle: 'I said sorry to Semie (Otsemobor) because I've kicked the ball at him a little bit fiercely just out of frustration. I've just apologised to him but it wasn't meant at him. There was a sloppy pass and I shouted and gave it back to Semie, but he just stared at me with that big chest of his!

'I just felt that because we felt a little bit comfortable in the first half we just didn't think we had to turn up, but Carlisle are a good side and if you don't turn up against them you're going to find yourself on the wrong side of a result. But overall I felt our play probably deserved more than we got. We looked very comfortable and it was very pleasing for me.'

This "having a go at each other" enabled MK Dons to kick on according to the boss, who did pay credit to Carlisle though: 'I thought Carlisle were excellent for the first 20 minutes of the second half and really put us up against the wall but once we got to grips with it and people had a go at each other we went from strength to strength.'
