'If It's Football, It's Vital'

A different ball game

MK Dons' stadium:mk is equipped, or quite easily could, to stage some grand events.

Milton Keynes, and MK Dons' stadium:mk as a result, was in the running to be a host city had England managed to win the bid we put together for the 2018 World Cup Finals. This didn't come off but a World Cup Finals game could still be played at the stadium!

A Rugby World Cup Finals game, as stadium:mk has been put down as a possible venue as part of the 2015 World Cup taking place in England.

MK Dons have hosted Rugby matches before, and will again, with Pete Winkelman hopeful this can be the case in 2015: 'It is a fantastic achievement to have been recognised alongside some of the most prestigious sporting stadia in this country.

'As we have seen in recent years, stadium:mk is a magnificent venue and it ticks all the boxes for international rugby.'

If stadium:mk is up for this why not, the only problem is this would be during the football season meaning the pitch would take quite a battering!
