Bentley? Unlikely

David Bentley, once again, is being linked with a surprise move to MK Dons.

Before the Spurs midfielder eventually moved to FC Rostov in Russia at the end of the summer transfer window in a loan move until January he was "understood" to be subject to a potential audacious loan move by Karl Robinson.

While Robinson, who shares the same agent as Bentley, would love to see him at stadium:mk he doubts this will happen, as he told Sky Sports, and knows that the former England international is too good for league one level anyway: 'I would love to have David Bentley at this football club because he is a player whom I admire very much.

'Rob Segal is both our agents and I speak to David all the time and he knows how highly I rate him as a footballer, but it would be very difficult to see David play his football outside the Premier League.

'With all due respect to our football club, I don't feel that David should be playing at this sort of level.'

A permanent move to MK Dons is a near impossibility but maybe, just maybe as unlikely as it might seem a loan deal could be pulled off so perhaps we need to watch this space in January?
