Paying The Price For A Reputation?

Paying The Price For A Reputation?

Not for the first time Karl Robinson has leapt to Alan Smith defence with him of the opinion that "previous" has cost him.

An aerial challenged with Barnsley Rory Delap resulted in Smith sent off by Michael Jones, which left Robinson less than impressed: 'I didn't even know it was a foul.

'But you see Alan Smith going to try and compete and right away ultimately the referee thinks 'that's Alan Smith, he has tried to do him, sending off'.

'You could see it and, by the way, how quick did he go for his card? It looked like he couldn't wait to do it but if he sticks to his report he will know he has made a big error.'

Smith certainly does have a reputation for previous, I've not seen the incident but I hear where the MK Dons boss is coming from and this can sometimes be the case with players.
