Everything Comes Together For MK Dons

MK Dons couldn't really have wished for anything more than they got on Tuesday night.

A dreadful run of form came to an end with a cracking 3-0 win over League One leaders Doncaster, with "everything coming together" for them, with Karl Robinson saying 'It was a night when everything came together, but it was a frustrating night as well because that was us at our best, and we've not seen it often enough.

'The reasons for that are suspensions and injuries, but here I've been able to put the full attacking four out that I wanted to put out at the start of the season.

'But, still, we were without an awful lot of players and the players just put a wonderful performance in.'

The goalscorers were "media dreams" too!

Izale McLeod notching his first goal since his return in January within minutes of his arrival as a substitute, Daniel Powell scoring having signed a new contract and Stephen Gleeson scoring with his first touch when he came on after a three-month injury absence.

Robinson added: 'I thought the place was rocking. It could be the catalyst for bigger and better things.

'I think all your media dreams came true - Izale scoring his first goal since his comeback, Daniel Powell signing a new two-year deal and topping it off with a wonder goal and Stephen Gleeson comes back from nowhere and scores the last goal. Pick your headline!

'I got told not to put Stephen on, but I whispered to him 'Stephen, do you fancy it?' He said 'yes, get me on' and he sprinted on and scored a wonder goal.'

What a boost this will give MK Dons going into the final games of the season, however they've almost certainly left themselves too much to do now to force themselves into a late play off position?
