Own Goal Condemns MK Dons To Defeat

MK Dons 2-3 Shrewsbury

MK Dons fought back from two-down on Tuesday night but still ended up suffering a first defeat in seven against Shrewsbury.

Surprisingly by the 20-minutes mark Shrewsbury were two-nil up following a quick fire double from Tom Eaves (16 & 19).

Hope of a fightback was on when Ryan Lowe (27) pulled one back before the half hour mark.

Just minutes into the second half MK Dons were level when Lowe (47) scored his second to draw them level, and at that point they would have been favourites to complete a turnaround with a win.

Having seen a chance pass itself by to complete the turnaround Shrewsbury went ahead again when Antony Kay (69) volleyed into his own net.

A couple of late chances couldn't be converted by MK Dons, to at least share the points, who slipped to a 3-2 defeat.
