Karl Robinson, as he told BBC Three Counties Radio, was left disappointed by the midweek defeat to Crewe.
This defeat means that MK Dons are highly unlikely to be able to force themselves into a late League One play off spot but come what may he'll be at stadium:mk but he's warned some players they won't: 'Performances like that are not acceptable.
'I've told them that some of them won't be playing for the football club next season. I'll be here.'
Securing that play off spot seems unlikely but if six wins from eight can be secured then Robinson is hopeful that it'll be enough to close the nine-point gap.
Should defeats keep coming then the MK Dons boss will start looking at others players and bring them in with the future in mind, adding: 'We've got six games we need to win out of eight. There's still a target to achieve.
'But if they do start losing football games, I'll start making changes very quickly. I don't know - I've not got many to bring in.
'I've got some good young players at this club and I'll play them. It might mean more to some of them.'
One of those under threat could be Anthony Kay following his third sending off of the season with Robinson not hiding his disappointment with him and making it clear he let the whole club down.
