MK Dons Win At Victoria Park

Hartlepool 0-2 MK Dons
29th March 2013
15:00
Victoria Park

MK Dons are unlikely to force themselves into the play off, however their slim chances remain alive following a win over bottom of the table Hartlepool at Victoria Park.

Patrick Bamford (7) ended his own run with a goal to give MK Dons an early lead, and that was enough to take them into the break ahead.

Minutes after the restart Hartlepool were reduced to 10-men when Simon Walton saw red, however immediately MK Dons could have also been down to 10-men with Bamford fortunate to only see yellow following a push.

The numerical advantage was made the most of with Dean Bowditch (62) extending the visitors lead just past the hour mark when he curled home from the edge of the area.

Hartlepool were denied by a post late on, however MK Dons weren't to be denied their first away win since the turn of the year as they ran out 2-0 winners to leave Hartlepool eight points adrift of safety with only five games to go.
