MK Dons See Off Struggling U's

Colchester 0-2 MK Dons
16th April 2013
19:45
Weston Homes Community Stadium

It's highly unlikely now, especially with Swindon winning, but MK Don just about revived their play off hopes with a win at Colchester on Tuesday night.

Colchester should have been ahead by the time MK Dons managed to break the deadlock, but Magnus Okuonghae was guilty of a bad miss. Daniel Powell (11) made the hosts pay when he finished a break.

The hosts had several first half chances to level; none closer than Freddie Sears who saw his shot come back off the post.

Having been denied earlier in the half Patrick Bamford (78) sealed a 2-0 win for MK Dons late on, a win that moves them just outside the play off places but some four-points behind Swindon with two games to play so the chances of catching them are slim!
