'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Another Spell Not Ruled Out

Patrick Bamford has enjoyed a successful loan spell with MK Dons, and Karl Robinson has already stated a desire to bring him back next season if he can.

He told The Milton Keynes Citizen: 'We'll have to see what happens at the end of the season.

'I wouldn't mind coming back here, but we have to see what Chelsea say.'

The likelihood is that Chelsea will loan out the 19-year-old again, however they might wish to do this to a Championship side and as MK Dons look unlikely to secure promotion it might mean he goes elsewhere?

Whatever happens though Bamford knows that a "good pre-season" could make a big difference to his season, adding: 'I hope to get a good pre-season in with the first team again, and then we'll take it from there.

'I want to keep pushing myself and play at the next level. I thought MK Dons were going to get promoted, and they still can to be fair, but we'll have to see what happens.'

Another season of first team football would do Bamford good, returning to a club he knows well would also help but the reality is Chelsea will almost certainly want this loan spell to be at a higher level than one MK Dons are likely to be at?
