Robinson Left "Hurt And Disrespected"
Karl Robinson, talking to The Milton Keynes Citizen, has revealed his "hurt and disrespect" following recent comments about him following what he says were inaccurate reports.
Robinson has grown tired of constant links to jobs; in fact the most recent link (Sheffield United you'd assume) saw him reject the approach. He said: 'Every job I'm linked to, it feels like I have to come out and repeat myself.
'I was made favourite to become manager of one club while I was sitting in the pool with my daughter.
'There was an offer made for me, but we agreed to reject it.'
Recently the MK Dons boss said that he would be "speaking to his agent" and this was taken as him perhaps preparing for pastures new? That isn't at all what he says he meant and he feels the comments were "taken out of context."
Leaving MK Dons isn't on his mind at all, far from it! He added: 'I think the comments I made about speaking to my agent were taken out of context, which I was upset about, and it led to a lot of unfair comments being made about me, which I thought were really disrespectful.
'I meet with my agent every year to talk about the last 12 months, what I did right, what I did wrong. He puts me back on the straight and narrow.
'My family are settled in Milton Keynes, we have no plans on leaving.'
It's good to hear that Robinson remains fully committed to MK Dons, however to be fair it was easy to take those comments "out of context", if only he had clarified them sooner. But the main thing is he's as focused as ever on his job at the stadium:mk.
