Blackpool In For Gleeson?

Blackpool In For Gleeson?

Blackpool could return to MK Dons in the hope of securing one of Gary MacKenzie's former teammates.

MacKenzie joined Blackpool on a permanent basis, following his loan spell last season, from MK Dons on Friday and the Sky Sports "understanding" is that Stephen Gleeson is a player that Paul Ince is keen on.

Ince worked with the 24-year-old during his time as manager at the stadium:mk so knows the midfielder well, and with him definitely capable of performing at Championship level he'd make a good signing.

Karl Robinson would loathe to lose the influential midfielder, however he's himself admitted recently when selling MacKenzie that he couldn't stand in the way of a player who has the chance of stepping up a level.

That being said Gleeson almost certainly is a player that the MK Dons boss would sooner keep than he would have MacKenzie, with all due respect.
