Facing Those Wanted

MK Dons face Preston today and had Karl Robinson had his ways several of those being faced could have been playing for MK Dons.

Robinson told BBC Three Counties Radio: 'Let's look at Preston's front four. Kevin Davies, Stuart Beavon, Iain Hume and Joe Garner - I've been in for three of those four and couldn't get them.

'Keith Keane I was also interested in as well. We couldn't get that deal done either, and their goalkeeper (Declan Rudd) is somebody we've looked at before.'

Just a few Robbo wanted then!

Preston's boss Simon Grayson is also someone that he has great respect and admiration for, adding: 'To me Simon Grayson is someone who has always put a team together that's always competed for promotion. I think him and Preston are a perfect fit. He's lovely fella and a football man.'

Quite clearly there's plenty of respect for the opposing boss and many of his players, however MK will want to keep up a fine start to the season.

That being said, despite not winning yet, Preston are unbeaten and this will be a tight game that could go either way...
