No Robbo Blades Talks!

No Robbo Blades Talks!

A job becomes available and almost instantly the name of Karl Robinson gets linked to it.

Not for the first time he's been heavily linked with a switch to Sheffield United, who are in search of yet another manager having sacked David Weir after just a few months of management with the Blades languishing at the wrong end of the league one table.

The MK Dons boss was first linked with a switch to Bramall Lane last season when they parted company with Danny Wilson but he decided to stay with us.

On Thursday the old chestnut of "Sky Sports sources understand" reared its head claiming that Robbo was in talks with Sheffield United about becoming their next manager...

This was swiftly rejected with his agent Rob Segal rejecting the speculation linking him with the job, he insisted that he's fully focused on matters at stadium:mk.

He told BBC Radio Sheffield: 'There have been no talks with Sheffield United and I am not exactly sure where the story has come from.

'Karl has a project he is working on within a financial structure at MK Dons and at this moment in time is only focusing on that.'

It does get very tiresome the constant links to jobs that Robinson sees, however having said that he's obviously doing something right with us to get the attention.

Long may that continue!
