Otsemobor And Spence Leave MK Dons

MK Dons have confirmed that both Jon Otsemobor and Jordan Spence have left the club.

Otsemobor arguably enjoyed the best days of his playing career, to date, with MK Dons but hasn't featured since October and has been on loan with Tranmere recently. That loan spell ended on Monday with it now mutually agreed that he moved on.

He's spoke highly of the club following his contract termination, telling the official website: 'I am disappointed to be leaving because, despite having been with a few teams in my career, MK Dons is one of the only clubs I've thoroughly enjoyed being at.

'There are some great lads here, the training is different and enjoyable and the fans have been brilliant too.'

Karl Robinson has explained this decision, making it clear that other and younger options were better long term prospects than the 30-year-old and a discussion with him made it clear that he didn't have a future at the stadium:mk.

It goes without saying that the right backs effort during his time with the club were appreciated, with Robinson adding: 'I'd like to publicly thank Jon for his efforts and endeavours while at the football club.

'We can't afford to carry three right-backs and we've got Lee and George who are younger, fresher and part of the long-term development of the club. The future lies with those two and Semy understands that.'

Robinson also had to make a decision over the future of West Ham defender Jordan Spence, with his loan deal expiring earlier this week.

Following some mulling over of this, with Robinson earlier this week undecided, it was decided that it was best that he returned to his parent club so he has following 12 first team appearances for the club.

He was successful during his time with the club as over the festive period the MK Dons defence kept six clean sheets, with him a part of it.
