For Us To Come Here And Win 3-0 Was Special
Milton Keynes Dons went into the Walsall game knowing that they had to win to have any chance of reviving the play-off hopes.
They did this with a 3-0 win at the Banks's Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
Walsall were already one-nil down when they had a player sent off, so that could take some of the headlines away from the MK Dons win but Karl Robinson hopes that it doesn't.
The MK Dons boss said: 'I don't want the sending off to be the headlines. My players performed really well and we should have been two or three up by then against one of the better teams in the league.
'What Dean Smith has done here is unbelievable, so for us to come here and win 3-0 was special.'
Izale McLeod was the scorer of two goals for MK Dons, and got his chance as Robinson has 'no other choice' really, with him challenged to keep doing in games what he does in training in games with Ben Reeves scoring the other from the penalty spot with Butler sent off in conceding this.
The cleansheet was secured when Michael Ngoo, previously linked with a loan move to the stadium:mk, had a penalty saved by Dean Martin.
