'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Players Deserve A Tremendous Mention

It was a game that Milton Keynes Dons really had to battle in, with depleted resources, but they managed to secure a point in midweek.

MK Dons needed to beat Preston North End at stadium:mk really to keep alive play-off hopes but a 0-0 draw wasn't a bad result in the end.

Karl Robinson was delighted with this and couldn't sign his praises of his side loud enough.

The MK Dons boss said: 'The boys are pulling miracles out of their hats.

'The players deserve a tremendous mention and as a fan, your players have been magnificent. I thought we had the better of the chances.'

Injuries to Samir Carruthers and Lee Hodson, which could see both sidelined for a while, adds further concern to an already stretched squad that included so many young players, losing these two stretched it even more.

He couldn't fault what he was given by his players and was left 'really proud' of them all.

Adding: 'We've a very skeleton squad with young lads like Harry Hickford, Giorgio Rasulo, George Baldock on the bench and Dele Alli starting, which shows we're short of bodies.

'Then we lose Samir and Lee and I've got nothing left, so I'm really proud of the players - I could ask for no more.'
