Defender Heads Out On Loan
Harry Hickford has the chance to get some first-team football under his belt between now and the end of the season after being sent out on loan.
Ahead of the emergency transfer window closing at 5pm on Thursday the 17-year-old completed a loan move to Skrill Conference outfit Chelmsford City with Karl Robinson of the opinion that this will be a good move in his development.
Robinson told the official website: 'We've given Harry a professional deal but I feel he needs to play more games, especially at senior level, before he is ready to break into the first-team.
'This upcoming pre-season will be an important one for Harry and this move provides an opportunity for him to test himself against men and take the next step in his development as a footballer.'
Hickford recently signed his first professional contract with Milton Keynes Dons when the MK Dons boss recognised him as one of four second-year scholars worthy of a professional deal.
