Robinson: I Thought We Were Excellent
The league one season move into it's penultimate round over the weekend with Milton Keynes Dons in action away for the last time in the current campaign.
MK Dons travelled to championship chasing Rotherham United and for most of the game looked to be coming away with the win, before the 10-men finally had to settle for a 1-1 draw.
Karl Robinson was full of praise for his side with him branding them 'excellent' against a side that his team made change their tactics at the New York Stadium due to the gameplan implemented.
The MK Dons boss told the media: 'We have come to a very good Rotherham side.
'We kept on with 10 men for nearly 50 per cent of the game and put on a show. The players deserve a pat on the back.
'I thought we were excellent. We had a game plan and they had shaken their system up a bit and they changed their tactics which was credit to us.'
MK Dons went ahead through Matthew Kennedy's goal but then had Brendon Galloway sent off for a second bookable offence, even so Izale McLeod's goal doubled the lead before Michael O'Connor pulled one back for the hosts who then equalised deep into injury-time through Alex Revell.
Robinson hasn't always been happy with his side of late but had nothing but continued his praise, as well as that for the fans with a point proven.
He added: 'I'm so happy we have come without about seven players. Our injury record is one of the worst. I can't ask any more from these players.
'I'm so proud of my players and the football club. Our fans snag their hearts out for 90 minutes and I think we have all shown that we are made of better stuff than what people first thought.'
