Robbo Speaks About Duo Staying

Milton Keynes Dons took up the option on Ben Reeves and Lee Hudson to secure for another year, at least.

Impressive first seasons at the stadium:mk saw Karl Robinson keen to secure the services of both and with the club having the one-year option inserted into their contracts when they signed this was activated last week.

Reeves was able to break into the Northern Ireland squad last season with Hodson a regular for them too.

Losing them to injury towards the end of he season was a blow to the club but Robinson is more than happy to have them both secured as they have a big part to play in the clubs future.

Robinson told the official website: 'The two of them were important to us at the beginning of the season before we lost them for the back end of the year through injury.

'Ben was one of our starlets of the year whereas Lee got back to being a regular for the Northern Ireland international team. They are both still at a good age too.

'I'd like people to sign longer deals and they know that, so hopefully we can keep their services for a longer period of time.'

Contract extensions were also offered Stephen Gleeson, Antony Kay and Mark Randall but as yet he's not had an answer from them yet but he remains hopeful they will stay with the club 'down the road with one or two' as this stage.
