Robinson: Striker Fits The Mould

Robinson: Striker Fits The Mould

Karl Robinson has been searching for a striker that will help Milton Keynes Dons achieve what he wants to for sometime, he's hoping that Tom Hitchcock is that man.

Loan players have come in but these have always only ever been loan spells with the better they did the harder it was to keep them at the stadium:mk with arguably his top priority this summer being to secure a 'natural goalscorer'.

In Hitchcock, signed on a three-year deal on a free from Queens Park Rangers earlier this week, he should have this with him certain that he can produce the good and a player certainly that fits the mould of how he wants MK Dons to play and has the qualities he also wants as he has the hunger and desire he is looking for.

All of this, and the fact that he of course has talent, meant that the 21-year-old appealed to the MK Dons boss.

Robinson told the official website: 'Tom is somebody who I spoke to over the summer and he intrigued me.

'There are a number of strikers that we have looked at but thing about Tom is, he's a natural goalscorer and the types of goals he scores are unique.

'He fits into the mould of player we're trying to sign - he's hungry, he's enthusiastic and he's a very talented individual.'
