Robbo A Happy And Content Manager

Karl Robinson is working his Milton Keynes Dons squad hard this pre-season.

His squad has been 'put through their paces' in the opening couple of weeks of training, at the moment from the traditional Irish training camp where some friendlies will also be played ahead of the 2014/15 season.

Robinson has been left impressed with the fitness of his squad, which he attributes to them following guidelines over the summer. He's been working them hard but their attitude and commitment has impressed him.

All of this will benefit them going into the news season, with him telling the official website: 'It's been busy and difficult for the boys, but their attitude and the way they've conducted themselves has been magnificent.

'They've really knuckled down and worked hard. Their heels have been hitting their bums quite a lot! I'm a very happy and content manager as we stand right now.

'Their stats are up on last year and that's purely down to them and how they've come back and how they've done since then.

'They've come back fit and strong and hopefully these are things we can take into the season.'

A summer break has done all good, he feel that minds have been cleared after the disappointment of the last campaign all of which he feels, with the fitness pushing bodies hard, meaning 'healthy bodies make for healthy minds'.

Robinson also said that there was 'a bounce' in the step of all, from top to bottom.

All positive going into the season isn't it?
