Aneke In Team Of The Week (24/1/17)

Aneke In Team Of The Week (24/1/17)

MK Dons are represented in the latest Football League team of the week that has been selected after this week's action.

The performance by Chuks Aneke in the five three victory over Northampton at the weekend at Stadium:MK was enough to earn them a place in the side alongside the other most impressive performers in the Football League pyramid.

I think we'll already know ourselves, and not just based on the latest performance, why Aneke was selected as part of the team but explaining the choice - the FL blurb read.

'It was goals galore at stadiummk on Matchday 28, with MK Dons coming out on top 5-3 in an entertaining affair against Northampton. Aneke teed up Kieran Agard for the game's opener, before adding two himself to lift the Dons up the Sky Bet League One standings.'

It's always good to see the club represented in this way, and well played to Aneke for his recognition, but the most important thing about the weekend was of course the win.

Full Team:

Joe Day (Newport County), Eoghan O'Connell (Walsall), Sonny Bradley (Plymouth Argyle), DeAndre Yedlin (Newcastle United), Anthony Knockaert (Brighton), Josh Wright (Gillingham), Jamey Osbourne (Grimsby Town), Conor Grant (Doncaster Rovers), Rob Hall (Oxford United), Chuks Aneke (MK Dons), Ollie Watkins (Exeter City).

Manager - Steve Evans (Mansfield Town).
