Aneke In Team Of The Week (2/1/17)

Aneke In Team Of The Week (2/1/17)

MK Dons are represented in the latest Football League team of the week that has been selected after this week's action.

The performance by Chuks Aneke in the four nil victory over Peterborough United at the weekend at London Road was enough to earn them a place in the side alongside the other most impressive performers in the Football League pyramid.

I think we'll already know ourselves, and not just based on the latest performance, why Aneke was selected as part of the team but explaining the choice - the FL blurb read.

'Aneke netted a second successive brace, following up his two-goal haul against Northampton Town with a couple more in the 4-0 rout of Peterborough United. The 23-year-old had already teed up Kieran Agard's opener before taking centre stage himself, including netting the Sky Bet League One Goal of the Weekend.'

It's always good to see the club represented in this way, and well played to Aneke for his recognition, but the most important thing about the weekend was of course the points.

Full Team:

Scott Brown (Cheltenham Town), Haydn Hollis (Notts County), Jordan Moore-Taylor (Exeter City), Angus MacDonald (Barnsley), Jason McCarthy (Walsall), Jake Forster-Caskey (Charlton Athletic), Ben Whiteman (Mansfield Town), Chuks Aneke (MK Dons), Isaac Vassell (Luton Town), Keshi Anderson (Northampton Town), John Marquis (Doncaster Rovers).

Manager - Graham Westley (Newport County).
