Barnes In Team Of The Week (1/5/17)

Barnes In Team Of The Week (1/5/17)

MK Dons are represented in the latest Football League team of the week that has been selected after this week's action.

The performance by Harvey Barnes in the four one victory over Walsall at the weekend at the Bescot Stadium was enough to earn them a place in the side alongside the other most impressive performers in the Football League pyramid.

I think we'll already know ourselves, and not just based on the latest performance, why Barnes was selected as part of the team but explaining the choice - the FL blurb read.

'Like the goalkeeper in our selection, Barnes was another to sign off his loan spell in style, delivering a fine display to help MK to a top-half finish in Sky Bet League One. A delightful pass teed up Robbie Muirhead for the opener, and the Leicester City loanee showed persistence, skill, and composure to round off the scoring in the 4-1 win at Walsall.'

It's always good to see the club represented in this way, and well played to Barnes for his recognition, but the most important thing about the weekend was of course the points.

Full Team:

Connor Ripley (Oldham Athletic), Derrick Williams (Blackburn Rovers), Aden Flint (Bristol City), David Wheater (Bolton Wanderers), Christian Burgess (Portsmouth), Jake Taylor (Exeter City), Shane Ferguson (Millwall), Craig Gardner (Birmingham City), Curtis Weston (Barnet), Nicky Adams (Carlisle United), Harvey Barnes (MK Dons).

Manager - Nathan Jones (Luton Town).
